Russian social network VKontakte is working on issuing its own cryptocurrency, RNS reports. Although details around its launch remain vague, according to RNS's source, users will be able to obtain the cryptocurrency for time spent on VK and their activity on the platform. Moreover, they will also receive funds from other users for posts, reposts, and comments. Besides transferring the cryptocurrency to others, VK users will also be able to exchange it for goods or convert it via VK Pay, a payment system VK launched last year.
