We met with Kristin Smith, Director of External Affairs at the Blockchain Association to discuss the recently reintroduced Token Taxonomy Act, and what it’s like to represent leading crypto companies on Capitol Hill. Within the Token Taxonomy Act, crypto taxation and broader global accounting standards for crypto is an area we wanted to explore further given recent developments from large public companies that will need guidance on how to audit and account for these assets, and the growing need for the IRS to address crypto taxation.
